Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 August 2026
AgriPal is a registered business name of Investment Collective Capital Pty Ltd (ABN 43 684 516 854) ("AgriPal", "we", "us"). We respect your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the AgriPal mobile app and website, how we use it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Information we collect
- Account information — your email address and an encrypted password when you create an account, or basic profile details from Google/Apple if you sign in with them.
- Profile information — details you choose to add, such as your name, farm location, farm type and profile photo.
- Content you create — farm diary entries, crop/paddock plans, community posts and comments, marketplace listings, and messages you send to other users.
- Photos and prompts you submit for AI help — images and descriptions you provide for machinery troubleshooting, livestock checks and other AI features.
- Precise location — when you tap "use my location", your device's GPS coordinates are used for weather, mapping and paddock features. Your farm boundaries and centre points are saved to our servers so they sync across your devices, and any job or marketplace listing you post includes a location that is visible to other users. You control location access in your device settings.
- Voice and speech — when you use voice-to-text, audio is captured to transcribe what you say.
- Bluetooth — used to connect to livestock stick readers and scales so their readings can be recorded in the app.
- Device and usage data — basic technical information and crash/diagnostic reports that help us keep the app stable.
How we use your information
- To provide and operate the app's features and your account.
- To generate AI-assisted responses to your questions, photos and plans.
- To deliver weather, mapping, market and community features.
- To process your subscription and free trial.
- To send important notifications (e.g. new messages), where you've enabled them.
- To diagnose problems, improve the app, and keep it secure.
Service providers we use
We use trusted third-party services to run AgriPal. These providers process data only to provide their service to us:
- Supabase — secure hosting, database and authentication.
- PowerSync (JourneyApps) — offline sync of your farm data between your devices and our database.
- xAI (Grok) — processing the prompts and photos you submit to AI features to generate responses.
- WillyWeather & Open-Meteo — weather observations and forecasts for your location.
- Google Maps Platform — mapping and paddock measurement.
- BigDataCloud — turning coordinates into a place name (reverse geocoding).
- Apple App Store / Google Play & RevenueCat — processing subscriptions and payments. We do not receive or store your full card details.
- Stripe — processing online card payments when you pay a farmer's invoice via a shared payment link. We do not receive or store your full card details.
- Firebase — push notifications and basic app analytics.
- Sentry — crash and error reporting.
Where your data is stored
Your farm data is stored by Supabase in Australia (AWS ap-southeast-2,
Sydney). Crash and error reports are processed by Sentry in the European Union
(Germany). Some of our other service providers store and process data in the
United States and other countries. By using AgriPal you acknowledge that your
information may be processed outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to
ensure your information is handled securely wherever it is processed.
AI features
When you use an AI feature, the text and any photo you submit are sent to our AI provider to generate a response. AI responses are general information only and may not always be accurate — see our Terms of Service. Do not submit information you don't want processed by a third-party AI service.
Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. Content you choose to make public — such as community posts, comments and marketplace listings — is visible to other AgriPal users. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety or property of AgriPal, our users or others.
Invoice and document links
When you send an invoice or job sheet as a link, the document (a PDF) is stored on our infrastructure and served to whoever opens that link. The link is unguessable but is not password-protected — treat it like the invoice itself. Anyone you forward it to can open it.
These documents contain details of your customer that you entered, such as their name, address and the amount owing. You are the one deciding to share them; we host and deliver the document on your instruction.
We record how many times a link has been opened, so you can see whether your customer has looked at it. We don't identify who opened it — there's no sign-in, we don't ask for a name, and we don't build a profile of the recipient. As with any website, our hosting providers keep standard server logs (including IP addresses) for security and troubleshooting; those providers are listed under Service providers we use. A link can be revoked, and is removed when you delete your account.
Data retention and deletion
We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. You can delete your account from within the app, or email us at support@agripal.com.au to request deletion of your account and associated personal information.
Your rights
You may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you. To make a request, or if you have a privacy concern or complaint, contact us at support@agripal.com.au.
If you make a privacy complaint, we will acknowledge it and aim to respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can escalate your complaint to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au.
Children
AgriPal is intended for users aged 18 and over and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll post the updated version here and change the "last updated" date above.
