Command Centre (home screen)

The launchpad. The AgriPal mark up top, then a grid of tiles — one per feature. The top bar carries quick-access icons: Today on Farm (with a red dot when something needs you), your Messages inbox, and the Outbox indicator when offline changes are queued.

• Tiles: Ask AI Anything, Farm Diary, Farm Costs, Measure Field, Crops, My Farm, Spray Records, Weather, Machinery, Livestock, Community Forum, Weekly Market Prices, Sell on Marketplace — plus Contractor Hub if you do contract work, and Invoicing.
• Arrange it your way: long-press any tile and drag it where you want it. Ask AI Anything stays first. Settings → Reset home layout puts everything back to standard.
• Today on Farm icon: the red dot appears only when something new needs attention and clears once viewed.
• Outbox: changes made offline queue up and send automatically when signal returns.

Today on Farm

One screen that gathers everything actionable across the whole app — money, crops, stock, machines, paddock jobs, messages and the weather that matters tomorrow.

• Warning chips across the top: FROST or HEAT risk for tomorrow at each farm, and PICKING WINDOW chips when a crop's estimated harvest is close.
• Unpaid bills (overdue in red) — taps through to Farm Costs.
• Upcoming crop tasks for the next 7 days — taps through to the Crops calendar.
• Paddock tasks due — the jobs you've pinned to paddocks (moves, feeding, drenching) surface here when they're due.
• Unread marketplace enquiries; livestock treatments due and withholding periods clearing; machinery services due and rego/insurance renewals; overdue invoices.
• Pull to refresh; each card hides itself when there's nothing to action.

Ask AI Anything — AI

A general farm assistant chat with live web search — prices, chemicals, regulations, husbandry, agronomy, anything.

• Type or talk: microphone dictation in, spoken answers out; voice questions are answered aloud automatically.
• Attach photos (camera or gallery, multiple) so the AI can see what you see.
• Conversation history is saved and reopenable; links are tappable; Copy and Share on every reply.
• AI guidance disclaimer on every answer — always verify with your local agronomist or vet.

Farm Diary

Your daily farm record. Opens on today's entries with a full month calendar for history. Many features write into the diary automatically, so it becomes the story of the farm without extra typing.

• Entries: title, notes, date; voice dictation; reminders (8am on the entry date).
• Quick templates: Spray log, Rain event, Treatment, Machinery incident, Paddock walk — one tap fills a skeleton.
• Attachments: photos or documents on any saved entry; pinch-to-zoom; offline photos upload later automatically.
• Calendar view with entry dots; share today's diary or a single entry as text.
• Automatic entries: crop tasks mirror in, livestock moves, treatments, new mobs, rainfall and harvests can all record themselves (each has an opt-in toggle, remembered).

Farm Costs

Full farm money tracking — expenses AND income — with GST, budgets, AI helpers and accountant-ready exports. Australian financial year (July to June).

• New entry: Cost or Income toggle; amount; GST flag; date; note; category (presets plus your own).
• Allocation: whole farm, a specific farm, a paddock, a livestock mob, a machine — or link it to a crop for the season.
• Receipts: photo or document; AI receipt scan reads amount, date, merchant and category for you.
• Bills: paid/unpaid with due dates — unpaid bills surface on Today on Farm.

Invoicing

Send proper Australian GST tax invoices from the paddock — built for farmers who sell direct, do contract work, or agist.

• Business profile: trading name, ABN and logo — entered once, stamped onto every invoice, statement, job sheet and compliance PDF as your letterhead.
• Customers: a simple address book; item catalog for the things you sell or charge repeatedly (hay by the bale, hourly rates, agistment).
• Invoices: GST-compliant PDFs with your letterhead; line items from the catalog or free-typed; discounts; payment terms and a schedule note.
• Invoice from anywhere: raise an invoice straight from a harvest, a meat/kill record, livestock, or a job — the details carry across.
• Get paid: record manual payments (cash/EFT), or send a pay-online link with a QR code; part-payments tracked; a statement PDF per customer.
• Chasing: overdue invoices flag themselves, surface on Today on Farm, and follow-up reminders are one tap.

Contractor Hub

For farmers who do contract work — spraying, fencing, harvest — or run crews. Shows as a home tile once you turn on "I do contract work".

• Client sites: your clients' properties, with mapped paddocks (their boundaries, your records).
• Jobs: quote → booked → done; job logs as you go (what was done, when, by who); photos.
• Crew: your workers; assign them to jobs.
• Job sheet PDF: a professional letterhead job sheet for the client — work done, site map, your ABN.
• Invoice a job in two taps when it's done.

Measure Field

Map a growing area and get its exact size. Measured areas power everything — costs per hectare, spray areas, crop plans, the livestock and crops maps.

• Address search (Australia-biased) with recent-address chips, or jump to GPS.
• Draw the boundary by tapping corners on satellite view; undo/clear; live area readout.
• Area type: paddock, block, bed, tunnel or greenhouse — small areas show square metres, broadacre shows hectares.
• Every area gets its own colour and name label on every map in the app.

Crops

The whole cropping and produce operation in one place — a live map of what's growing where, per-planting records from seed to sale, AI advice, and season-on-season comparison.

• Map tab: every paddock labelled with its crop and stage ("Wheat — growing", "Tomatoes — picking"); fallow paddocks dimmed; tap a paddock to open its planting.
• Plantings tab: every active and finished planting; log a crop by hand (a two-level picker across 70+ crops).
• Succession planting: "repeat every N weeks × M times" creates staggered plantings automatically (S1, S2, S3…) with sow reminders in the diary.
• Calendar tab — AI: the season planner generates the full schedule (sowing or transplanting through to harvest) tailored to your crop and region; tap any task to adjust; tasks mirror into the diary. Ask the planner questions as you go.
• Planting detail: schedule, progress photos (AI photo check proposes plan updates), soil card, money card, harvests.
• Harvests: record every pick (kg / trays / boxes / bins / tonnes) with an automatic LOT CODE for traceability; season totals and yield per hectare.
• Harvest withholding guard: picking a paddock still inside a spray withholding period shows an amber warning with the product and clear date.
• Money per planting: linked costs, income, gross margin and margin per hectare, and budget-vs-actual against the budget you set at planting.
• Soil tests: record pH, N/P/K, organic matter per paddock — the latest reading shows on the planting and feeds the AI's advice.
• AI Crop Advisor: "What should I plant here next?" (uses the paddock's own rotation history and your region), "Review this season's yield", and more.
• Compare: same crop across seasons or same paddock across seasons — yields, costs, income and margin side by side.
• Audit pack: one button builds a Freshcare/HARPS-ready PDF for a date range — spray diary (weather, withholding, operator), inputs, soil tests, harvest lots.
• Yields CSV export for the accountant or agronomist.

My Farm

Your properties. Run one farm or several — everything else scopes to the farm you pick.

• Create farms; the farm switcher flips the whole app context.
• Whole-farm map with every measured area (own colours and labels).
• My Paddocks: per-paddock spend, income, gross margin and dollars per hectare, with an Add cost shortcut.

Spray Records & Spray Plans

Chemical application records built for Australian compliance — tank mixes, withholding periods, live weather stamps, agronomist-style plans, and AI weed identification.

• Records list with farm and paddock filters; pick the farm first, then just its paddocks.
• Multi-product tank mixes: each product a card — name, active, rate, batch, target, withholding days.
• Scan label to auto-fill — AI: photograph the chem drum label and the AI reads the details; you confirm before it fills.
• Multi-paddock records with auto-summed area; auto-fill area from the paddock.
• Weather auto-fill stamps live BoM observations (wind speed/direction, temp, humidity, time) into the record; a caution banner warns on risky conditions.
• Identify a weed — AI: photograph a weed and the AI names it (with confidence) and recommends controls for YOUR region.
• Spray plans: build an agronomist-style recommendation PDF (fields, problems, inputs, rates, total quantities, water volumes, costs) using YOUR measured areas — or import your agronomist's PDF and AgriPal reads it.

Weather

Real Bureau of Meteorology data — live station observations for now, BoM forecast for the week.

• Current card: temperature, condition (BoM's own wording), humidity, wind, last-24h rain — with the source, location and observation time.
• 7-day forecast: highs, lows, chance-of-rain % and rain ranges ("60% — 2–4 mm").
• Frost and heat alerts: set your own thresholds and get a 6pm heads-up the evening before a risky day — plus warning chips on Today on Farm.
• Farm impact analysis — AI: reads the week's weather for your region and gives farm-specific advice; Speak Advice reads it aloud; cached for offline.
• Rainfall log: mm per day with auto-fill from the weather station, a rainfall chart, and an optional diary record.

Machinery

Livestock for machines — full register, documents, service history, AI maintenance planning and an AI mechanic that knows each machine.

• Register: photograph the data plate — AI reads serial, make, model AND year; hours, purchase, supplier, warranty, rego, photo.
• Diagnose a problem — AI: troubleshooting that knows the machine and reads its service history first; describe or photograph the fault; save the diagnosis to its history.
• History timeline: services, repairs, parts, breakdowns — add the solution once fixed (open problems show amber, solved show green).
• AI maintenance plan from the real manufacturer schedule plus your history and hours; service and rego/insurance reminders.
• Documents; transfer between farms; running cost and cost-per-hour; depreciation estimate; sale-pack PDF/CSV export.
• Machine costs flow to Farm Costs automatically.

Livestock

The full stock module: mobs on a live paddock map, moves with spray-withholding protection, paddock tasks, treatments, weights, electronic tag scanning and individual animal records.

• Mobs on the paddock map with days-in-paddock, head counts and stocking rates; barns shown in amber; add a mob straight from a tapped paddock.
• Moves: destination sheet with suggestions (longest-rested paddock hinted); pick the day; optional diary record; amber warning if the destination is inside a spray withholding period.
• Paddock tasks: tap ANY paddock — empty ones too — and add a job to it: move a mob (with the day), feeding, drench, treatment or anything else, with notes and who's doing it. Open tasks show in the paddock sheet; tick them off as they're done (ticking a move task offers to run the actual move). Send task sheet exports a PDF job sheet — with the paddock map on it — to hand to whoever's doing the work. Due tasks surface on Today on Farm.
• Treatments with dose, withholding-until and next-due reminders; withholding clear dates surface on Today on Farm; costs flow to Farm Costs.
• Weights with per-animal and mob average daily gain; Export weigh day builds a PDF or CSV of every animal weighed on a chosen day — tag, EID, weight, previous weight, gain and daily gain — ready to send.
• AI body-condition scoring from a photo; animal scanner (photo diagnosis with confidence, save to diary).
• Grazing rest-days per paddock; mob events and photo gallery; per-mob cost and margin; NLIS/PIC movement export (CSV + PDF).
• Meat & kill records: record a home kill or processor kill with cut weights and $/kg; the animal's record closes out properly (head count, final weight).

Animal Profiles

Every tagged animal gets its own page — the full story of one head.

• Photo, name, breed content (F1–F4/fullblood), registration number.
• Pedigree: dam and sire (linked to their own profiles, or an external AI bull).
• Calving: record a calf and it links both ways, and the mob head count updates.
• Health tab with a withholding banner when a treatment hasn't cleared; breeding events (AI, ET, preg-test); a merged events timeline.
• Weights tab: full history with a chart and per-animal daily gain — fed automatically by the Bluetooth scanner and CSV imports. The overview page shows the weight trend at a glance.
• List on marketplace prefills a sale listing from the profile (medical summary is opt-in); one-page Wagyu-style PDF export for stud or sale paperwork.

Bluetooth scanning & scales

Plug AgriPal into the yard gear — electronic tag readers and scale heads.

• Tag readers: pair a Bluetooth EID reader (Gallagher HR-series and compatible sticks); scan tags in the yard and animals appear on the phone as you go — new tags create animals, known tags pull up their record.
• Scale heads: live weigh sessions — the weight streams in, settles, and saves against the scanned animal automatically. Duplicate protection built in.
• CSV weigh import: if your scale head saves sessions to USB, import the CSV and AgriPal matches tags to animals (deduplicated — safe to re-import).
• A live diagnostics strip on the session screen shows exactly what the reader is sending, so pairing problems are easy to sort.

Community Forum

A farmers-only feed with real moderation tools and farmer verification.

• Posts with photos; comments; verified-farmer badge and filter; region tags.
• Edit your own posts any time (edited posts carry a small "edited" marker); delete any time.
• Petitions: create (verified farmers), sign, withdraw, PDF export.
• Safety: report anything; block any user (their content disappears for you everywhere — manage in Settings → Blocked users); community guidelines on every composer.

Jobs Board

Farm work, wanted and offered — a noticeboard with trust signals, no middleman.

• Post a job or offer your services: categories, photos, rates (per head, per km, per day, or by quote).
• Browse with distance-radius and availability filters; listings auto-expire at 45 days with one-tap relist.
• Reviews (1–5 stars) build reputation on every card; poster profiles show their history.
• Job alerts: pick categories and a radius and get notified when matching work appears.
• Contact in-app or by phone — poster's choice.

Marketplace & Messages

Buy and sell with other farmers — stock, equipment, machinery, anything farm.

• Listings with photos; browse, search, share; enquire to start a private message thread.
